    What is Intralogistics system?

Intralogistics is the art of optimizing, integrating, automating, and managing the logistical flow of information and material goods within the walls a warehouse or a distribution center.

Intralogistics requires a multi-disciplinary expertise, encompassing a diversity of core competencies that include:

    • Strategic planning and logistics design
    • Systems design, integration, and implementation
    • Industrial, mechanical, and electrical engineering
    • Material handling technology (storage, conveyor, and sortation)
    • PLC controls
    • Software engineering, design, and development
    • Database design and integration
    • Warehouse automation solutions
    • Information technology systems
    • Project management

Why Impel Intralogistics system is more energy efficient?

Yes, that's true, because we have designed these systems by considering energy measures.

We are using 24V drive technology for roller conveyors and by integrated programming of all drives thus, we can optimize the use of conveyor system according to material flow and load. Where in belt conveyors we have developed a hybrid belt conveyor design which can reduce the required power to pull the load on the conveyor belt. We are also applying special surface coating on conveyor frames to reduce the belt surface friction thus, to save energy.

Is it possible to distribute the material at different floors with a single input line?

Yes, it is possible to distribute the material at different floors with only one input line. We have a product called "Continuous Vertical Conveyor", Its carrier lifts the object, scan it and then it delivers it on the predefined floor for that particular item, and again came to pick up the new one. These carriers are recirculating and travel along with the drive pathway.

What are the advantages of Dynamic storing system over the Conventional storing system?

Dynamic Storage solutions saveup to 50% space and reduce traveldistances up to 80% with compact, highdensityFIFO solutions using separateinput and output aisles. Dynamic Storage systems are space saving and compact – there are no intermediate aisles, only one input and one output aisle. All products are available by the shortest route in gravity lanes.

A conventional system needs twice as much space and more aisles, meaning 7 or 8 times greater distance for the operators to travel. Consequently, more forklift truck drivers are needed, and retrieval and dispatch take longer.

That's why Dynamic Storing system is faster and cost-effective solution.

Belts vs. Live Roller Conveyors: When to Use Each?

A roller conveyor is comprised of rollers directly in contact with the conveyed products which transmit motion to the product. Rollers are typically constructed from steel tubing with low friction bearings in each end having a through-shaft for support the roller in the conveyor frame.

A belt conveyor is designed with a flat conveyor belt located on its conveying surface to directly support and move the product being conveyed. The belt is supported below by rollers or metal slider pans. conveyor belt is power by a rotating drive pulley, that spans the width of the belt.

Live rollers conveyors utilize low friction bearings to support the load being conveyed making them efficient in use of power required to convey cartons and totes which having flat bottom surface.

When a product has an abnormal weight distribution or doesn't have a flat bottom surface for support, a belt conveyor will serve well for transporting the load.

If I use a v-guide on my belt will it solve my tracking problems?

No, the v-guide is used as an added tool on your conveyor system to assist in steering the belt. The accurate design and build of your system is the key ingredient to your belt tracking properly and the proper crown on the pulleys are crucial.

What are the Advantage of 24V dive technology over 415V drive in roller conveyors?

24-volt drive technology is primarily used in accumulating conveyor systems these days. It can also be incorporated in conveyor modules operated in intermittent mode for throughputs between 100-1000 unit loads per hour. Each module of a longer conveyor is then fitted with a roller drive that is separately powered and with a decentralized control unit that can be directly activated. Each drive has an interface to the external master control system. This means various modules can communicate with each other to facilitate material flows. In each case, the drive is only switched on and ready for action when a unit needs to be moved across that particular module of the conveyor. Once the unit has gone, the conveyor module is immediately switched off again. Long conveyors can thus be divided into segments that automatically switch themselves on and off again.
